Our Story
More About Dancestars School of Dance
Dancestars was founded by principal Jennifer Carver née Zurek in 2006.
She held classes in halls around Bradford successfully for 10 years before meeting Paul and opening the first Dancestars studios in 2016. As a dance school we quickly outgrew the one studio premises and moved to our current studios in Bradford City Centre in 2018.
Jen has been dancing for over 25 years and has been a qualified dance teacher since she was 17 years old. She is qualified with the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing and the International Dance Teachers Association in Disco Freestyle, Rock 'n' Roll, Ballroom and Latin American. Jen has competed at a national level in all these forms of dance and has trained many ISTDdisco freestyle champions and finalists.
Dancestars is now run by Jen and her husband Paul who's experience and business acumen has helped grow and develop the school in the past few years.
Home Grown Teachers
Following a 10 year amateur dance career at Dancestars, Ellie Hawes took her exams and qualified as an associate Disco Freestyle teacher with the ISTD in 2018. She has 10 years competitive experience and is a very welcomed addition to our team.
